Vom 19. bis 22. Februar wird auch das Nationale Automuseum mit einem eigenen Stand vertreten sein. In Halle 10, in der Umgebung von Colors of Racing, präsentieren wir mit dem Mercedes CLR einen der Werkswagen, die 1999 beim 24-Stunden-Rennen von Le Mans eingesetzt wurden – flankiert vom Lancia Delta S4, dem Siegerfahrzeug der Rallye Monte Carlo 1986, sowie dem Chevy Monte Carlo, mit dem Jeff Gordon 1997 die NASCAR-Serie gewonnen hat.
Weitere Fahrzeuge aus dem Bestand des Nationalen Automuseum sind auf den Ständen unserer Partner zu finden: Lancia Stratos und Porsche 356 Super 90 sind beim AvD zu sehen, der Audi Sport quattro S1 PDK von Walter Röhrl und Christian Geistdörfer auf dem Stand der Motor Presse Stuttgart, unser Alfa Romeo 8C Monza bei Zwischengas sowie der Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale und der Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 in Halle 1 bei der SML Car Group.
Nachts im Museum – Exklusive Foto-Safari
Unser Event „Nachts im Museum“ bietet einer kleinen Gruppe von Fotografie-Begeisterten die seltene Gelegenheit, die Faszination der einzigartigen Sammlung des Nationalen Automuseums in einer völlig neuen Intensität festzuhalten.
Die Möglichkeit, Design-Ikonen und technische Kunstwerke ungestört mit freien Sichtachsen abzulichten sowie ausreichend Raum für die Arbeit mit Stativen nutzen zu können, bieten wir am 12. März. Nach Ende der Öffnungszeiten steht maximal zwölf Teilnehmern bis 22:00 Uhr die gesamte Dauerausstellung zur freien Verfügung. Unsere erfahrenen Museumsfotografen Burkhard Werner und Achim Weiß stehen ihnen dabei beratend zur Seite.

Die Miniatur-Ausgabe des Ferrari 330 P3 in klassischem Ferrari-Rot trägt die Startnummer 21 vom 24h Rennen in Le Mans 1966 und hat das Fahrzeug aus unserer Sammlung mit Chassis #844 zum Vorbild. Für die Saison 1967 wurde es an das NART-Team von Luigi Chinetti verkauft, zum 412 P umgebaut. Ein 412 Pin in gelb ist nun ebenfalls im 1:87-Format in unserem Museumsshop erhältlich.
Der Preis für den Ferrari 330 P3 von 1966 in rot (ohne Le Mans-Design) beträgt 29,99 Euro, ebenso wie für den Ferrari 412 P von 1967 in gelb. Der Preis für das Le Mans-Modell des Ferrari 330 P3 beträgt 34,99 Euro.

Aus der Sammlung: Der Mercedes AMG SLS GT3
2011 stellte Mercedes AMG den SLS GT3 als nach dem FIA GT3-Reglement aufgebauten Rennwagen auf Basis des Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG vor. Fortan stand der Bolide mit 6,2 Liter V8-Motor und 544 PS als rennfertiges Kundensportfahrzeug zur Verfügung. Entsprechend dem FIA-Reglement war der SLS AMG GT3 gegenüber der Straßenversion in Leichtbau-Technik, mit einem Rennfahrwerk, renntauglicher Bremsanlage und Aerodynamik aufgebaut.
Die Mission war erfolgreich. Insgesamt 66 Fahrzeuge, die bis zum 15. Mai 2013 verkauft wurden, konnten 43 Klassensiege und 109 Podiumsplatzierungen – darunter der Sieg beim 24 Stunden-Rennen 2013 auf dem Nürburgring sowie die FIA GT1-Weltmeisterschaft 2012 – für sich verbuchen.
Der Mercedes AMG SLS GT3 aus dem Nationalen Automuseum ist ein in Sonderlackierung ausgeführtes Einzelstück und wurde nicht für den Renneinsatz, sondern von einem Sammler bestellt. Zu sehen ist er vom 19. bis zum 22. Februar auf dem Stand der SML-Car-Group auf der Retro Classic Stuttgart (Halle 1).
With over 80,000 visitors and more than 900 exhibitors, Retro Classics in Stuttgart is one of the central meeting places for the classic car scene in southern Germany, attracting many Swiss visitors too.
From 19 to 22 February, the Nationales Automuseum will also be represented with its own stand. In Hall 10, near Colors of Racing, we will be presenting the Mercedes CLR, one of the factory cars that competed in the 1999 Le Mans 24-hour race. It will be flanked by the Lancia Delta S4, the winning car in the 1986 Monte Carlo Rally, and the Chevy Monte Carlo, with which Jeff Gordon won the NASCAR series in 1997.

Night at the Museum – Exclusive Photo Safari
Our ‘Night at the Museum’ event offers a small group of photography enthusiasts the rare opportunity to capture the fascination of the Nationales Automuseum’s unique collection with a whole new intensity.
On 12 March, we are offering the opportunity to photograph design icons and technical works of art undisturbed with unobstructed lines of sight, as well as sufficient space to work with tripods. After closing time, a maximum of 12 participants will have free access to the entire permanent exhibition until 10 p.m. Our experienced museum photographers, Burkhard Werner and Achim Weiß, will be on hand to offer advice.

Car enthusiasts appreciate the artfully crafted and highly detailed models from the traditional manufacturer Wiking in the classic 1:87 scale. They are particularly excited about exclusive small-series models of legendary vehicles – particularly when the original vehicle is part of the Loh Collection.
We are delighted to present three more Ferrari models produced exclusively by Wiking for the Nationales Automuseum:
The miniature version of the Ferrari 330 P3 in classic Ferrari red bears the starting number 21 from the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans race and is based on the vehicle from our collection with chassis #844. For the 1967 season, it was sold to Luigi Chinetti’s NART team and converted to a 412 P. A 412 P painted in yellow is now also available in 1:87 scale in our museum shop.
The price for the 1966 Ferrari 330 P3 in red (without Le Mans design) is €29.99, as is the price for the 1967 Ferrari 412 P in yellow. The price for the Le Mans model of the Ferrari 330 P3 is €34.99.

From the collection: The Mercedes AMG SLS GT3
In 2011, Mercedes AMG unveiled the SLS GT3, a race car built in accordance with FIA GT3 regulations and based on the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. From then on, the car with a 544 hp 6.2-litre V8 engine was available as a race-ready customer sports car. In accordance with FIA regulations, the SLS AMG GT3 was built using lightweight construction technology, with a racing chassis, racing brakes, and aerodynamics, unlike the road version.
The mission was a success. A total of 66 vehicles sold by May 15, 2013, and it achieved 43 class victories and 109 podium finishes, including victory in the 2013 24-hour race at the Nürburgring and the 2012 FIA GT1 World Championship.
The Mercedes AMG SLS GT3 from the Nationales Automuseum is a one-off model with a special paint finish and was not ordered for racing, but for an enthusiast’s collection. It will be on display from 19-22 February at the SML Car Group stand at Retro Classic Stuttgart (Hall 1).
